The racing program of the Mountain Bike World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě was opened by the short track cross-country (XCC) races.

The U23 category was dominated by Canadians – the Holmgren sisters, Ava and Isabella. Ella Macphee confirmed Canadian dominance by taking the bronze. Simona Spěšná finished in 20th place.

The men’s U23 race was won by Gustav Heby Pedersen from Denmark, but the Czech Republic had no representative at the start.

In the elite women’s category, Dutch star Puck Pieterse made a victorious return to the World Cup, shaking off reigning short track world champion Evie Richards from Great Britain in the final stretch. The only Czech rider at the start, Jitka Čábelická, finished in 35th place.

Among the men, American Christopher Blevins won a very tight and fast race – for the third time in a row – despite a technical issue near the end. He once again beat his teammate Victor Koretzky from France. The bronze medal went to Swiss rider Filippo Colombo.
