Nové Město na Moravě will once again become the center of world mountain biking. From May 22 to 24, the Vysočina Arena will be dominated by the Mountain Bike World Cup, which this year will offer an exceptionally attractive spectacle – the expected duel between the two biggest cycling stars of today, Tom Pidcock and Mathieu van der Poel.

Three days full of races, emotions, a fan atmosphere and a program for the whole family will transform Nové Město na Moravě into the biggest cycling festival of the year. The entire world's top mountain bikers will arrive at the Vysočina Arena, and fans can look forward to a unique combination of top sport and an unrepeatable atmosphere known throughout the cycling world.

This year, however, has an even more special charge. Two absolute icons of contemporary cycling will appear at the start – British Olympic champion Tom Pidcock and Dutch phenomenon Mathieu van der Poel. The pair, who regularly write the history of world cycling across disciplines, will not be performing anywhere else in the Czech Republic this year.

Both will compete in Sunday's cross-country olympic (XCO) race, the main highlight of the weekend. And surprisingly, they will probably also compete in Saturday's short track (XCC).

Pidcock returns to Nové Město after a triumphant performance in 2024, when he dominated the World Cup race in front of packed stands and confirmed his exceptionalism on the technical track of the Vysočina Arena. Van der Poel, on the other hand, has a lot to give back to Nové Město. In his last start here last year, he did not finish the race after two falls, although he also managed to win here in the past in 2019.

It is their expected duel that adds an extraordinary dimension to this year's World Cup. Fans will have the opportunity to watch two cycling superstars in action on one of the best MTB tracks in the world - and in the backdrops that regularly attract tens of thousands of spectators.

But the program does not end with the races themselves. The entire weekend will offer a large fan zone, autograph sessions, exhibitions, activities for children, bike testing and an evening program. The Vysočina Arena will be transformed into a place where top sport meets community and passion for cycling.

“Nové Město na Moravě has long been considered one of the best World Cup venues, and this year’s participation of Tom Pidcock and Mathieu van der Poel takes the entire event to the next level. Fans can experience something that is rarely seen in the Czech Republic,” says Petr Vaněk, chairman of the organizing committee.
